It takes ~£1000 for each Welcare intervention to support a family in crisis in order to:

1) Help people who have experienced domestic abuse reset their lives

2) Help dads be better dads

3) Help children be more resilient from all the pressures surrounding them and their parents

4) Help families with practical support, like bills and bureaucracy

5) Help local communities get around the families in crisis

As Chair of Welcare, I am regularly humbled by the great work our family support team do, however it can only do this work with the support of generous donors, just like you.

I last ran a 10k in London for Sport Aid in 1986, though my hockey knees have seen many competitive games since, so whilst fitness should be ok still, the joints might disagree :)

I really hope my network can come together to help at least 3 families move forward with their lives positively.
