At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

My Grandad,

This man went above and beyond for me and raised me as if I were his own son.

Watching this Man fade away infront of me is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with.

The man who gave me so many of my most cherished memories was losing his.

You feel guilty for feeling angry when thy don’t remember who you are, you feel sad that they no longer share in those happy time you can recall and you feel sorrow for all those who love this man.

Sitting with him in the care home an looking around at all those vacant stares is so so upsetting and I want to do what ever I can no matter how small.

So please donate what you can to this fantastic cause.

“We're the "Forget Me Nots" a group of 5 individuals (friends and family) who are coming together to do something nuts, yet absolutely necessary.

4 of the 5 individuals have seen a parent or close family member succumb to Alzheimer's.

We are walking for 6 solid days, across the Sahara Desert in 35 degree heat - to raise awareness and funds to support research and support into Alzheimer's.

To live in a world of confusion and fear is terrifying, but, to live in a world where we still have hope and a willingness to succeed and we can come together and support is empowering.

We all pray for a world where parents don't forget their own children, children don't have to grieve twice for parents, young people are able to be around long after their diagnosis.....

Please donate whatever you can, the price of a cup of coffee, more if you can. Help us take this journey and watch out for our fundraising activities. “
