Most people take on Land’s End to John O’Groats over a period of time with multiple stop overs.

Myself, my dad (Steve), Jake & 5 others thought it would be a great idea to try and do it on motorcycles in 24 hours. With no motorways. What could possibly go wrong? 😳

The ride itself is around 900 miles and around 21 hours of riding before you even factor in fuel stops, food, weather, tiredness, wrong turns, numb bums, and trying to stay awake.

By the time we leave home and get back, the full trip will be around 1,850 miles in just a matter of days.

We’re taking on this challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity close to our hearts. We’re doing this for my nan and Steve’s mum, Sandra Moore, and my grandad, Douglas John Tweed. We’re also riding in memory of my grandad and Steve’s dad, Colin Moore, who although didn’t pass from cancer we miss every day.

This isn’t just about the miles — it’s about the people behind them.

Macmillan supports so many families through incredibly difficult times, and if this mad idea of ours can help raise money and awareness while honouring the people we’ve lost, then every mile will be worth it.
