Why are Alpha Engineering taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge:

A team from Alpha Engineering are taking on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on Saturday the 15th August, in memory of Ryoo Hooley (daughter of our colleague Mike Hooley) who sadly passed away in May this year.

Alpha Engineering have seen first hand, the fantastic work Post Pals do as a charity in support of sick children such as Ryoo and therefore we are committed to raise much needed funds for this wonderful charity.

About Post Pals and what they do for sick children and their families:

Post Pals is a volunteer-run charity helping to ‘Post a Smile on a Sick Child’s Face’ by the sending of cards, letters, emails, and little gifts to seriously ill children and their siblings in the UK.

Post Pals organise days out, grant small wishes, provide emotional support, hold weekends away which are made to be inclusive to every single child’s needs. Provide craft packs for children in hospital, as well as comfort boxes for parents that are in hospital with their child for a long period of time.

What is the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge:

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a 24.5 mile (38.6 km) circular route in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It involves 1,585 m (5,200 ft) of ascent and requires hikers to summit Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m), and Ingleborough (723m), all within a traditional target time of under 12 hours.
