Fundraising 300 orphans for Shawkot Miah

On the 17th of February 2025 our beloved grandfather, Shawkot Miah, had left this world and returned to Allah (SWT). May Allah grant him ease in the grave and grant him the highest ranks of Jannah. Ameen.
As we remember and honour our beloved Dhada, whose passing has left a profound sadness in our hearts, we are comforted by the beautiful memories and his caring nature. He was a key part of our life, loving us, supporting us, caring for us.
In the same way our Dhada loved being around us, we are proud to announce that, in his memory, we will sponsor 300 orphans in Bangladesh. This is not just an act of charity, but an effort to carry forward the values of kindness and mercy that he held dear, ensuring that his legacy continues to benefit others.
Our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the ultimate example of kindness and care toward orphans. He himself was an orphan, having lost both of his parents at a young age, and his own life was filled with compassion toward those who were in similar circumstances. He said;
"The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this," and he joined his fingers together. (Sahih al-Bukhari)
Moreover, this sponsorship is not just a one-time act of kindness; it is an investment in Sadaqah Jaariyah — a charity that continues to benefit the giver long after their passing. Our Prophet (pbuh) taught us that acts of ongoing charity continue to bring rewards even after death. He said:
"When a person dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: a continuing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge which is beneficial, or a righteous child who prays for him." (Sahih Muslim)
We pray to Allah (SWT) to accept this charity and make it a means of eternal reward for my beloved Grandfather. May Allah grant him peace in his grave, elevate his rank in Jannah, and forgive his sins. May this noble act of supporting orphans also serve as a reminder to all of us of the importance of caring for those who are vulnerable, just as our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did throughout his life.
Ameen.
