Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Recently, I was asked two questions:
1.Do you like heights? (My answer: a resounding NO!)
2. Are you partial to high-speed activities? (My answer: an even more resounding NO!)
So, the only sensible way forward for me was to agree to go on the ‘Velocity’, a high-speed zip wire in Wales. It promises height, speed (over 100 mph) and scenic views over a quarry. Please see www.zipworld.co.uk/adventures/velocity for the terrifying details!
In a moment of madness, I was persuaded to take part in this alarming adventure. Why? Because it is for a brilliant cause: to raise funds for Amy and Friends (www.AmyandFriends.org), an outstanding charity who provide support for children and young adults affected with Cockayne Syndrome and related DNA Repair Disorders. They are pivotal to the smooth running of the only dedicated Rare Disease Clinic at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital.
So dear friends, will you kindly help me raise money for Amy and Friends by sponsoring me to undertake this petrifying exploit? If you could, the terror will seem worthwhile while I develop nerves of steel !
