Principality Cardiff Half Marathon 2024 · 6 October 2024 ·

We rescue stray and rehome unwanted cats and kittens. We personally home check all adopters to make sure each forever home is suited to the cat's needs. We neuter all adult cats that come in to help control the feral cat population in our area and to ensure they can live their lives safely.

Story

On 01 April 2023, I decided to embark on a health and fitness journey. I was determined to empower myself and change my life.

Before this journey, I was overweight, shy and unhappy with myself, I had no self-confidence and felt lost and unmotivated. Through a mix of healthy eating, and exercise, I have manged to lose just under 5 stone (30kg) and go from a size 20 to a size 12. I found a love for exercise and I am amazed by what I can accomplish when I believe in myself.

To celebrate the 'new' me, I have set myself the ultimate fitness challenge. I am running the Cardiff Half Marathon, my first ever half marathon. This will be a testament to my will, determination and also allow me to appreciate how strong I am both physically and mentally!

I have chosen to raise funds for Anna's Rescue Centre as they are a local charity that is close to my heart and helps cats in and around the Cardiff area, it is also the charity where I have adopted my two cats from. By running for A.R.C. I have something to motivate me to keep going when my legs no longer want run and all I want to do is stop.

Your support is greatly appreciated and I cannot wait to share my race day with you.
