10 children and young people are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. The Children with Cancer UK Charity actively raises and invests money to fund specialist research to improve our understanding of childhood cancer and save the life of every child affected by it.

I will be running the London Marathon on 27 April 2025 to support CWCUK.

I've always enjoyed running as a way of maintaining fitness and managing my mental health but I have never attempted anything as daunting as this!

The challenge is on and the training is underway...

Wider challenge

This is part of a wider challenge which was set up by my company to support Children with Cancer UK and to celebrate our 10-year anniversary.

The SQEP10 Challenge 'Global Edition' will see team SQEP travel a distance of over 40,000km (whether by running, cycling, walking, etc.), to simulate a complete revolution around the world. The last 500km will be completed by a contingent of SQEP that are participating in the London Marathon. If team SQEP do not cover the required distance in advance of the marathon, then the whole challenge fails. If the marathon runners do not complete the distance on the 27th April 2025, then the whole challenge fails. This is unquestionably a case of all for one and one for all!
