I was incredibly lucky to be one of the 5% who secured a ballot place in the 2026 London Marathon. To make both the training and race day truly meaningful, I’ve chosen to raise money for Starlight UK — a charity whose vision deeply resonated with me, both as a mother and as someone who has worked in healthcare marketing for over 20 years.

Starlight’s vision is simple yet powerful: for a time when no child experiences trauma from their healthcare.

Starlight UK, believes that every child deserves the joy of play, especially during the challenging times of illness. As the UK’s leading charity for children’s play in hospitals and hospices, they understand that play is not just a luxury; it is a vital part of healing. Evidence shows that engaging in play can significantly reduce fear, pain, and trauma during treatment and recovery. It boosts mental and physical health, fostering resilience in our young ones.

This year, I am taking on the London Marathon on April 26, 2026, to raise funds for this incredible cause. My goal is to raise £1,000 to ensure that every child has the opportunity, space, and time to experience the magic of play.
