Story
on 16th July 2012 our son Joey died during childbirth. It was the worst day of our lives and although every second was horrendous one of the hardest things to see was the moment the midwife covered our little boy with a sheet as he lay in the hospital cot so he could be wheeled through the hospital to the mortuary. That image is one that still haunts me and I know it will continue to for the rest of my life. When I saw that 4louis had came up with a dignified alternative in the production of Privacy Prams for hospitals, I knew that had this existed when Joey was born we would have been spared the trauma of watching his face being covered over and it would of been a much more comforting option. So I want to raise the cost of a privacy pram for a hospital on the waiting list in memory of Joey. The cost to produce each privacy pram is £500. 4louis helped us when Joey was born as they provided memory boxes which are vital and I’m so grateful to have.
4Louis works across the country to support anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth, and the death of a baby or child. We understand the pain and heartbreak that families go through and are dedicated to providing support and comfort during this difficult time.
We provide memory boxes filled with keepsakes and mementos to help families create lasting memories of their loved one. We also provide useful tools, equipment, and training free of charge to hospital units, hospices, and other professionals who work with grieving families.
