The Shepherd family, Jancis, Tony and our three girls, Naomi Eggleton, Heidi Blacker and Imogen Huggett have chosen to support Dementia Action for Marlow (DAM) as our 2024 Christmas Lights charity. Having recently lost Tony’s Mum to Alzheimer’s disease we are very aware of the challenges faced in gaining a diagnosis, information, support and care throughout this journey.

DAM is a local, registered charity providing support, information and advice for people living with dementia and their families. Informal, voluntary support is provided via 3 sessions per week providing social interaction for the person with dementia and their carer. Activities include ‘Let’s get Moving’ music, singing, dancing, Tai Chi and occasional planned outings. For carers, the access to informal support, information and supportive friendships of others in a similar situation is invaluable.

The Shepherd family and DAM will appreciate all donations to support families facing dementia, thank you for your generosity.
