.Della and I are now planning our ninth convoy with Pickups for Peace. Through the generosity of a kind supporter we have a vehicle and now seek your support to help us fill it with humanitarian aid.

With the almost nightly bombardment by Russian drones and missiles of cities across the country, as well as the soldiers in the front line and the displacement of millions of people and thousands killed or maimed, and in the middle of a very cold winter, this aid is needed more urgently than ever.

So many of you have supported this work very generously already and no-one likes asking for charitable donations at all, never mind more than once, but we have heard at first hand just how much this help means to Ukranians as they fight to defend themselves from Russia’s attempt to kill them, steal their country and overwhelm their freedom and their way of life. Quite apart from the aid itself they really appreciate that every donation reflects someone who, while far away, understands and cares about what Russia is doing to them and its wider threat to other countries. That means a lot, as they have told us.

As on our previous trips we will pay for the Channel crossing, all fuel and insurance to get the car there, our accommodation on the way and our flights home. Accordingly every penny that you give goes directly towards front line aid with no overhead.

We thank you in advance for your contributions however small or large and would simply add that whatever you can give will be enormously appreciated by us - but even more so by the Ukrainian people.
