Since Russia’s brutal invasion the charity Pickups for Peace (“P4P”) have delivered nearly 600 4x4 vehicles full of aid to Ukraine. In the face of the ratchetting up of the attacks on the Ukrainian population by Russia, this aid is needed more urgently than ever and Pickups for Peace are determined to keep going so long as help is needed

We are both passionate about this charity and so far, thanks to exceptionally generous support from so many kind people, we have raised enough to procure six 4x4s, each one packed to the roof with aid, and drive them to Ukraine. We are now fund raising to buy another vehicle and deliver it, full of aid, to Ukraine.

Some of you will perhaps say that it is a bit much, when people have already given so generously, to go back and ask for more, but as a number of you have generously said that you would like to contribute further to help us get this seventh vehicle and its precious cargo to Ukraine we have been encouraged to make this fresh appeal. We shall be enormously grateful for whatever you can give to help us achieve this.

As on our previous trips, as well as our own contribution we will pay for the Channel crossing, all fuel and insurance to get the car there, our accommodation on the way and our flights home. Accordingly every penny that you give goes directly to the vehicle and its contents with no overhead.

We thank you in advance for your contributions however small, however large and would simply add that whatever you can give will be enormously appreciated by us - but even more so by the Ukrainian people. Quite apart from the aid itself they recognise that every donation reflects someone far away in the UK who understands and cares about what Russia is doing to them. That means a lot, as they have told us.
