Story
I have agreed to abseil down the side of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.
I hear you (and the little voices in my head) say:
But why? Why would you do this? Have you considered how little exercise you do? Did you not learn your lesson from the football stunt you pulled a few years ago?
Well, thankfully, this is in aid of a very good cause, CW+ and their Thirty at Thirty campaign (https://www.cwplus.org.uk/thirty-at-thirty/).
CW+ is the official charity of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (encompassing Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, West Middlesex University Hospital and all their community-based services) which serves more than 1.5 million people.
As many of you know, I have benefitted immensely from the services they provide - and it's well overdue for me to give back.
So abseiling down the side of the hospital I go!
And in doing so, I would be very grateful for your support, however big or small.
If you would also like to watch me do this while trying not to cry my eyes out, it will be happening on Saturday 5 July at 3pm.
See you there? If one of you could also hold my mum's hand while this is going on, that would be great.
(PS. If you are living in the UK, please add Gift Aid - which is at no cost to you - to your donation to increase the funds raised for CW+).
