Older people living in residential care homes can often feel lonely and isolated because they are no longer connected with the community around them. We at Friends & Neighbours (FaNs) run initiatives to alleviate this, including the Wishing Washing Line where community volunteers make the residents wishes come true, Grandfriends where nursery & primary schools connect for inter-generational learning, and many more.
