Story
This August, I’ll be travelling to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with a small group from Bayes University to volunteer with Helping Hanna’s Community.
Helping Hanna’s Community supports children and families through education, community care, and access to opportunities that many of us take for granted. At the heart of their work is a local school, which provides not just education, but stability, safety, and hope for children growing up in very challenging circumstances.
I’ll be volunteering at the school as a teacher and supporting Hanna’s community firsthand, helping in classrooms, engaging with students, and contributing wherever support is most needed. This experience means a great deal to me, and I want to make sure I contribute not only with my time, but also by helping raise funds that will continue to support the community long after we leave.
The challenge
To raise money for this cause, I’ll be completing the London Capital Ring Walk — walking the entire 126km circumference of Greater London.
It’s a tough challenge, but one that feels meaningful. Every step in my walk is a step to positively supporting the children and families we’ll be working with in Addis Ababa.
If you’d like to support the cause, you can follow my progress and keep me going by donating to this page. Any contribution, big or small, genuinely makes a difference.
Thank you so much for your support 💛
