Story
We are walking 25Km to raise awareness and funds for the work of Papyrus. We especially want to remind all our students that even as they move on to the next stages of their lives, they remain important members of the school community. It is a time of great opportunity, but it can also be a challenge to manage the many changes that this brings. So, we want to actively encourage everyone to keep in touch with us and each other as there is always support available if things start to feel too much.
PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide.
Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, every year over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINE247.
Every £5 raised can contribute towards a life-saving contact to HOPELINE247. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.
