Shivani's fundraiser for Project Care Volunteering

Shivani Patel is raising money for Project Care Volunteering
“Volunteering trip”
We organise group volunteering trips for university students to partner schools for disadvantaged young people in India and Uganda. We and the volunteers raise funds throughout the year which are then invested into these partner schools.

Story

Hi, thank you for your donation! Read below to hear a bit about me, why I am going on the trip and the charity involved.

My name is Shivani and I am a final year student at University of Manchester, this September I will be going on a volunteering trip to India. I think Seva (selflessness) is an important part of our dharma (religious duty). My family is from a village just outside of Bhuj and I think it is especially important to give back to my community which is why I am passionate about this project.

All proceeds will go directly to a school in Bhuj for disabled and disadvantaged students. Donations help supply resources and fund building projects which allow the school to continue to provide better care for their students.

Most recently volunteer fundraising was able to provide the school with Braille tablets to better aid the education of visually impaired students, this is just one example of what your donation can make possible.

Project Care Volunteering organises group volunteering trips for university students to schools for disadvantaged young people in India and Uganda. It was founded in 2012 and has since coordinated 15 group volunteering trips, raising over £100,000 towards transformational education projects, including sanitation projects and the building of new school infrastructure (such as classrooms, playgrounds, toilets and kitchens).

Thank you :)
