Shobs’ Stride for Stroke

Stride for Stroke - 1.4 million steps for 1.4 million Stroke Survivors
I would like to introduce to everyone some really cool and inspiring people.
An organisation called the Stroke Association. They’re a UK charity that provides support and information to people affected by a stroke. Built on the belief that everyone deserves to live the best life they can after a stroke, they provide specialist support, fund critical research and campaign to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives.
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
It just so happens that they delivered on that promise by helping to rebuild the lives of many, including my own. 2 years ago this week marks the time of my stroke experience where I required open heart surgery.
2 years on, after more than a full recovery, I am proud to announce that I have set up my own fundraiser to contribute towards Stride for Stroke. A cause and organisation very close to my heart.
I will be doing 1.4 million steps, for 1.4 million Stroke Survivors in the UK. One step for each stroke survivor. I aim to complete this challenge in a 90 day period until the end of Ramadan 2025 (30th March)
To this day, being able to/learning to walk again remains one of the biggest blessings of my life. Any donations no matter how small, go a long way 💜
