Story
Shogun Rugby Football Club, one of the world’s leading invitational rugby 7s teams, are in their 30th year this year (2026). As part of their celebrations, they are partnering with the MND association to support their fund-raising initiatives and raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease.
The MND Association is the national charity in the UK dedicated to improving the lives of people living with Motor Neurone Disease – and is very close to the hearts of all involved with Shogun RFC following the diagnosis of several high-profile rugby players and family members connected with the club.
Shogun RFC will collaborate with their Technical Kit Partner, Tessen Sports, throughout this season to also support the MND Association, further helping to create awareness. Tessen Sports, who are based in Stowmarket Suffolk, specialise in supplying fully bespoke, high quality teamwear and corporate wear to clubs, businesses and schools throughout the UK. Expanding their support for MND, Tessen Sports are also supporting a 24hr football match fundraiser on the 17th May for Ryan Horsfall, who at just 39 years of age has just had the earth-shattering diagnosis that he has Motor Neurone Disease. Ryan’s condition requires his home to be adapted for his future needs and Tessen Sports, together with many other local businesses and individuals, will play their part in fundraising for this cause and raising awareness of this cruel disease which is yet to find a cure.
