Story
My very brave and courageous wee sister Mairi is just embarking on the 5th year of battle with ovarian cancer. Rounds of chemotherapy and several major surgeries have made life very challenging for her but she has faced it all with amazing strength and faith and as she progresses through yet another round of chemotherapy I want to do something to raise awareness. If Mairi was able she would be joining me but in her absence I have recruited Sheena to accompany and motivate me! Please consider donating to this cause- ovarian cancer is a brutal disease and as much research as possible is needed to improve treatments and outcomes for the many women facing this diagnosis.
Many thanks xx
This March, I'm joining thousands of others across the UK to take on the Walk in Her Name challenge.
I'm walking 100km throughout March to help fund life-saving ovarian cancer research.
With ovarian cancer, survival is more likely if it's caught early. However in the UK, 71% of women are diagnosed late and only 30% go on to live beyond 10 years.
Together, we can change that.
By supporting me in my challenge, we'll get one step closer to a future where ovarian cancer is diagnosed earlier, treated more effectively and women’s lives are saved.
This Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, let's help raise awareness, bring hope and change the future for women everywhere.
Thank you for supporting me to Walk in Her Name.
