Story
Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre is committed to ensuring no woman or girl subjected to sexual violence has to cope alone.
Last year, they supported over 1,000 survivors of sexual violence and abuse, of whom nearly 1/4 were under 18, and shockingly, 5% of whom were under twelve. They delivered over 4,000 counselling sessions, and responded to thousands of emails and calls - the support needs have hugely intensified due to the impacts of the pandemic, cost-of-living crisis, and severely reduced access to statutory mental health services. Some case studies of their important work are available here, although they are distressing - https://cambridgerapecrisis.org.uk/experiences/.
To raise awareness and funds, I'm running the Cambridge Half. Any and all donations will make a huge difference in enabling them to ensure no woman or girl has to cope alone with impacts of sexual violence and abuse.
Thank you!
