Our mission is to upgrade healthcare through the education and training of all professionals working in the healthcare sector worldwide, particularly those working with children suffering physical and mental trauma through extreme economic deprivation, major natural disaster or military conflict.

Story

On the 10th of February 2024, I will be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in support of IMET2000 and their efforts towards Palestine.

The International Medical Education Trust 2000 works in areas of extreme deprivation, refugee camps and war zones to provide specialised training for psychiatrists, physicians, surgeons, nurses and allied professionals in primary trauma care. However, due to the crisis proceeds will be directed towards Palestine.

The destruction of homes and infrastructure in Palestine is worsening by the hour, it is impossible to be specific about future needs of what is left of that population. With more than 10,000 children already killed, the needs of survivors will be both in physical and mental trauma. The situation in the West Bank is also deteriorating fast but at least IMET2000 have concrete and very successful projects going on there. IMET2000 are therefore donating all proceeds for two projects in child mental health. One for undergraduate scholarships and advanced postgraduate training and one in physical trauma treating children permanently paraplegic or surviving as amputees.

Please donate if you can, every contribution counts.
