Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

St Iltud’s Church, where the funeral service for Christopher is being held, has been a big part of his life and upbringing. With its ancient roots, this historic church held a special place in his heart. Chris' Grandad, whom he loved, was the Tower Captain, leading the bell ringing for many years and maintaining a meticulous record of bell practices—something Chris treasured and often revisited. He fondly remembered the music he learned as a choirboy and the playful mischief that came with the role. He often reflected that his eclectic love of music started here.

After returning to Llantwit, Chris enjoyed hearing the bell practices in the quiet of the early evening, often while sitting on the grassy knoll with a glass of wine in hand. Of course, the Sunday morning bells were always a sound he cherished.

To help ensure that the bells continue to ring out in Llantwit for generations to come, we invite you to consider making a donation to the Bell Ringing Fund at the Church. Your contribution will help preserve this cherished tradition and will be an important marker of his life.
