Story
2024 is definitely the year of running, so what better way to start it than completing a Half Marathon?!
I have always been an incredibly sporty person, playing football since a very young age, but running has never been part of my remit… until recently I struggled running 5K!! After completing Couch to 5K last year, it’s safe to say I caught the running bug and wanted to challenge myself. Fast forward to now and I am 7 weeks away from completing a Half Marathon Race😄! I’m so grateful to have Immi by my side through all of the training and can’t wait to experience the highs and lows of race day with her by my side ❤️
When thinking of a charity to run for, I immediately thought of my sister. She has been part of Settle, an award winning charity that aims to tackle youth homelessness before it happens, for the last 5 years and when reflecting on the profound impact she has had throughout her time there I wanted to align my running journey with a cause that truly embodies the spirit of empowerment and support. By raising funds for Settle, I am not only honouring my sisters dedication but also contributing to the crucial mission of breaking the cycle of youth homlessness and fostering a brighter future for those in need.
Any donation, no matter the size, will help break the cycle of youth homelessness and enable Settle to support young people for many more years to come.
