Wear A Hat Day
Campaign by Brain Tumour Research (RCN England and Wales 1153487, Scotland SC046840)
Wear a hat for hope on Thursday 28 March and raise vital funds and awareness for Brain Tumour Research to help find a cure for brain tumours, a disease which kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.

Story

In loving memory of our colleague and friend Paul Vaughan.

Tragically, in February we lost our colleague and friend Paul Vaughan. Paul was a much loved part of our AMS family for over 13 years, He worked on Santander mostly but also worked on Barclays and Royal London during his career at AMS. Paul was an extremely positive person and he lit up the room wherever he went. He was loved by both his colleagues and also his stakeholders at Santander. Many of us have formed a close bond with Paul over the years and he will be missed dearly.

In Memory of Paul, we will be participating in “Wear A Hat Day” on Thursday 28th March to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. We would be grateful for any donations to support this very worthwhile cause.

Wear A Hat Day is an annual event raising money to bring hope to brain tumour patients and their families. Every March, as Brain Tumour Awareness Month comes to a close, people from all walks of life put on their favourite hat at work, in school, with friends and family, and hold hat-themed events and make donations to Brain Tumour Research help find a cure for brain tumours, which kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer.

The first Wear A Hat Day was held in 2010 and, since then, it has raised more than £2 million for Brain Tumour Research to help raise awareness of this devastating disease, campaign for the Government and larger charities to invest more, and fund ground-breaking research at Centres of Excellence where scientists are focused on improving treatments for patients and, ultimately, finding a cure.
