Turn up the heat with #TeamNorthCare in our first ever charity Firewalk on Friday 16 February 2024

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 16th February 2024 a brave trio (Myself, Paula and Carol O) will be taking on the ultimate challenge - walking over a strip of red-hot embers at Salford Royal Hospital in support of the Northcare Charity. Any money raised will be going directly to the Manchester Centre for Clinical Neurosciences (MCCN) based at Salford Royal Hospital.

This Centre offers world-class care for people with brain and spine disorders and injuries from across the UK.

One in six people in the UK has a neurological condition and the MCCN performs more brain and spine operations than any other unit in the country. They help people suffering from illnesses such as a brain tumour, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Motor Neurone Disease as well as stroke or spinal injuries.

This walk is In memory of Veronica, my lovely friend. Together we will beat MND and other neurological conditions.

The NorthCare Charity helps Northern Care Alliance (NCA) NHS Foundation Trust deliver outstanding care across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford by funding innovative equipment, education, research and wellbeing activities.

Any donation you are able to make will be greatly appreciated.
