🌍 The Mission

Dharura is a Bristol-based charity working alongside University Hospitals Bristol & Weston (UHBW) to build ethical, sustainable, and reciprocal emergency care partnerships worldwide. By supporting this expedition, you’re helping clinicians and communities share life-saving knowledge and innovations across borders. Mt Kenya, Africa's 2nd highest peak, overlooks Nanyuki where the Dharura partnership began and continues to thrive.

🧭 The Expedition

From 26–30 January 2026, Sian will join Dharura and UHBW colleagues on a five-day climb of Mt Kenya via the Chogoria route. Alongside the adventure, the team will deliver medical training to local mountain guides and celebrate the Bristol–Nanyuki partnership that Dharura has nurtured for years.

💡 Why It Matters

Emergency care saves lives in the most critical moments. Dharura’s partnerships ensure expertise flows both ways — empowering clinicians in the UK and abroad to learn, adapt, and innovate together. This expedition is more than a climb; it’s a commitment to global collaboration in healthcare.

Join us in supporting Dharura’s mission. Your donation empowers emergency care teams worldwide — and ensures that knowledge, skills, and innovations are shared where they’re needed most. By supporting this expedition, you’re helping clinicians and communities share life-saving knowledge and practice across borders.
