Story
On the 17th June, 20 individuals take to the ring for a white collar boxing exhibition. Bobbi-Joe, a retired professional boxer is hosting the event at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester, after taking the 20 amateur boxers through an intense 12 week training camp.
The event will consist of 10 fights, and multiple performances from singers to dancers in the hope to raise money for a local charity, Sickle Cell Care Manchester.
Tickets are available for the event to be purchased through Bobbi-Joe, with proceeds going to the charity. However, we have set up this fundraising page for friends and family who may not be able to attend the event but would like to support the boxers and donate to Sickle Cell Manchester.
We thank you in advance for not only helping to raise money for a great charity but supporting the individuals as they embark on this challenge
BOBBI-JOE’S Classic…..Step In Da Groove N Move! 🥊🥊
From the charity: Founded by people living with Sickle Cell Disease who saw a gap in community based support, the charity was founded in 2011 and registered in 2015. We support 150+ people a year to manage their condition so they have fewer painful crisis incidents and spend less time in hospital. We advocate for people who feel that their treatment was inadequate and we encourage people who have the rare blood types that people with SCD rely on, to give blood. Our motto - Your Cares Are Our Cares keeps us focused on each person as an individual.
