Help Us Bring a "Cuddle Bed" to the Primrose Unit, Bromsgrove.

We are raising vital funds in loving memory of Tom, an incredible husband and dad, who recently passed away at the young age of 55 after a brave battle with cancer. Tom spent his final days on the Primrose Unit at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital. The staff there were true "angels of the earth". The care, compassion, and support they gave to Tom and to us as a family was phenomenal. Words truly cannot describe how much their kindness meant to our family during life’s most difficult moments.

During our time on the unit, we realised how much a specialised "cuddle bed" would have meant to us. A cuddle bed is a purpose-built medical bed that can be safely widened at the touch of a button. Standard hospital beds create a physical barrier. Instead of sitting in a chair at the side of his bed, a cuddle bed would have allowed us to lie down safely right beside Tom, to cuddle him, hold his hand, and be closer in his presence.

We want to ensure that future families facing these final days have the comfort and closeness that we so deeply wished for.

Every single penny raised on this page will go directly to the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust Charitable Funds (Charity No. 1060335) and is strictly ring-fenced for the Primrose Unit to buy this specific piece of equipment.
