Hi :) this is a page to raise money for the charity I work for, Rowan Alba, a wonderful charity that provides temporary and long-term accommodation for people experiencing homelessness in Edinburgh.

There are so many reasons people become homeless from fleeing domestic abuse and absent support from family to mental health issues and addiction that cause disruption in ability to maintain a tenancy or live independently to the housing on offer being unsuitable.

The project I work in, Stramullion, provides safe temporary accomadation for nine women. At the moment, there is a three year wait for housing so during that time we work with our residents to connect them with the support they need, build life skills, and work towards independence so they are able to maintain their own tenancy when the time comes and avoid repeat homelessness.

So we're raising some money towards that purpose because if I'm going to run 26.2 miles, it might as well be for something bigger than just running a long way.
