Story
Hi,
My name is Siena and I am a student at the University of Nottingham studying English and Creative Writing. I am skydiving to raise money for the Salvation Army in the City Centre of Nottingham.
Myself and a team of other students are working together in partnership with a remarkable charity to raise money for the vulnerable, homeless, disadvantaged and those in need. The Salvation Army works tirelessly to provide practical support and help to some of the UK's most isolated and marginalised people in such profound ways by; providing hot meals for homeless people, reaching out to mentor victims of Human Slavery, helping children who live in poverty to be able to enjoy Christmas through Toy Parcels, as well as in so many more amazing ways.
I am incredibly grateful that I have been given the opportunity to help people who are less fortunate and make a difference in their lives in conjunction with a charity that so passionately believes that no one is beyond hope and who offer nothing but love and support to struggling individuals.
I understand that I am incredibly fortunate and have taken luxuries, such as being able to sleep in a warm bed with a roof over my head, for granted and I have not always stopped to think about how not all people have access to these kind of things. As a result, my goal is to raise £500 in order to transform lives, allowing people to have access to the small things we can sometimes all take for granted and hopefully realise that there is still light and goodness in this world, as well as hope for them and their future.
