Story

Everyone that knew Phill loved him, he had the most infectious laugh one I’m sure that we can all still hear today even nearly 13 years after he was taken from us. He was so important to so many people and is missed terribly by us all.

13 years ago he was diagnosed with a rare type of sarcoma in true Phill style he had to stand out and be special! The symptoms were linked to pain he’d suffered for years but the doctors had always put it down to his physical job and sent him to physio for treatment, they never considered exploring the reason beyond his shoulder pain, we know now that sarcoma is often missed by doctors for years until it’s too late!

Typically sarcoma should only be treated by a specialist clinic again we were let down and sent for chemotherapy at a normal cancer clinic! Only having to self refer to a specialist once it was too late, and later learning chemotherapy isn’t the best cure for sarcoma, removal is always the first option! We are raising money for sarcoma to help raise awareness and improve treatments.

Thank you for visiting our page. We’ve chosen to support Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.

Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this.

Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep the specialist Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.

Your donations go so far in helping the sarcoma community:

£8.80 Could cover the cost of 10, 21 minute calls to Sarcoma UK's Support Line.

£25 Could fund a Research Associate to work on a Sarcoma UK research project for one hour.

£334 Could fund Sarcoma UK's Support Line for a day.

£9,000 Could purchase a fume cupboard for a laboratory to allow researchers to safely use chemicals.

Thank you.
