Rebecca (Bex) was a caring, strong young woman who loved life and lived it to the full with her fiancé Rob. She would be encouraging others to do the same, gaining strength from adversity. Throughout her illness she was brave and her courage was inspirational.

As an employee of Sika, Bex had the benefits of sick pay and support throughout her illness. Many people battling Leukeamia are not in the same situation and rely on support from charities like Leukaemia Care.

Bex was passionate about helping others and would be honoured that Sika have chosen Leukaemia Care as their charity to support in her memory.

Bex's family are thankful to all the intrepid cyclists, volunteers and those that have donated to the charity. Donations received will be used by Leukaemia Care to support people impacted by the illness to receive the best treatment, support and advice possible.

Bex would also be encouraging people to give blood and for under 50's to register as a stem cell donor. Registering as a stem donor only requires a simple mouth swab and is not an invasive process like most people think. Donating stem cells is usually as easy as giving blood. Registering as a stem cell donor and giving blood and has the potential to save someone's life which is a best gift you could ever give.
