The mission of Sikh Women's Aid is to act as a stimulus to develop lasting positive change by actively challenging harmful belief systems and practices that act as the root cause of all forms of abuse within the Sikh and Panjabi community.

Story

Sikh Women's Aid is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting and empowering women from Sikh and South Asian communities who are affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence, and other forms of exploitation. They provide a safe space for victims and survivors to access confidential advice, emotional support, and practical assistance, including counseling, advocacy, and legal guidance. Sikh Women's Aid also works to raise awareness within the community about issues of gender-based violence and strives to challenge cultural stigmas, promoting healing, empowerment, and resilience for those in need.

We're raising money to bring joy to the children at our Diwali event for Sikh Women's Aid members and their families. Many of these children come from challenging circumstances, and we want to give them a special celebration by providing toys and gifts to brighten their day. Your support will help us create a memorable experience for these children, making this Diwali extra special.
