Team: Team TCS-Aura Take On London & Paris for St Richard’s Hospice!

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

The London Marathon is a world-famous annual road race, famous for its iconic 26.2-mile route through London's landmarks.

Story

This April, 10 of us will be taking on a marathon - most of us for the first time. With 8 entered into the London Marathon and 2 into the Paris Marathon, this will likely represent one of our biggest ever running challenges.

We’re doing this to raise money for St Richard’s Hospice, a Worcester based charity that provides exceptional care and support to people and families during some of the toughest times in their lives. Their work makes a real difference and we want to help ensure they can continue offering that support to everyone who needs it.

Why St Richard's?

We’re running for St Richard’s Hospice because their care goes far beyond medical support - it’s the warmth, dignity, and kindness that they show to every family they help. For one member of our team, Jac, this cause is especially meaningful. Jac has a personal relationship with the hospice and wants to share his story:

"In 2023 my Grandad ('Nono') was cared for by St Richard's Hospice. He was a fighter, both literally and metaphorically, although I'm sure my Nan would use another word - 'stubborn'.

This was a scary time for the whole family.

I remember leaving his bedside for the final time and, if I'm being honest, I think we both knew it was the last time. I remember walking down the hospice's corridor and it seeming full of light and hope - certainly not the usual connotations you might make in place that often means the end. I left that day knowing that he was in a good place, surrounded by family, doctors and nurses that truly cared.

They continue to support my family and this is my opportunity to give back."
