Story
Each year my childhood street and surrounding streets have always gone above and beyond at Christmas with their outdoor Christmas lights. For the past couple of years we have raised money for different charities such a make a wish, macmillan and the Yorkshire air ambulance.
This year we are raising money for the LGI Neonatal unit. The reason we have chosen this amazing charity this year is not only because of the amazing tireless work they do day in day out helping children and families through hard times but it touches one of the families closely this year.
The family is expecting their first grandchild this year and unfortunately she will need to have emergency surgery after being born and this unit will look after this precious arrival for the first few weeks of their life. We have decided to thank the unit for all they will be doing by raising money for them to go towards anything that they may possibly need.
Last year we managed to raise an amazing amount of £3000 this year is going to be the biggest year yet and are hoping that we can smash last years amount and raise even more!
It’s not about what’s under the tree but who’s around the tree. Come join us at BD12 for festive fun and support an amazing charity!
Love the silver birches! X
