Story
Thank you for supporting Eyes on the Future and giving hope to my daughter Vicky and other children like her to see the world for longer.
Vicky is 10 years old and is slowly going blind due to an inherited retinal disease linked to the RDH12 gene. Her diagnosis was a total shock for us, leaving us in a dark place. But I made a commitment: I want to look her in the eyes and tell her we did everything we could to help her see the world for longer.
Over the past few years, alongside other dedicated families, we have raised funds to support crucial research. We've made incredible progress, even gaining attention from the likes of the BBC and Forbes. But what truly matters is the progress towards a therapy.
We are closer than ever, with significant strides made in developing a potential gene therapy for Vicky's condition. Most of the preclinical work is complete. However, clinical trials are stalled due to a lack of funding and commercial interest.
Your support will directly fund essential work to move forward. Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you!
