Story
Thank you for taking the time to read this page. If you’re able to donate, even a penny, please leave your first name and where we met along the walk, if you’re happy to do so, so I have a reminder of you.
The 23rd of August marked two years since brave Pip sadly lost her battle to breast cancer. To commemorate this date I am walking the South West coast footpath, which stretches from Minehead, Somerset, to Poole harbour, Dorset, starting on August 23rd; paying tribute to Pip’s fight, to honour her memory and raise money for MacMillan cancer support. I shall walk alone with just a tent, rucksack and a few essentials.
I hope to complete as much of the 630 mile route in 21 days (the record is 10) passing through Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, back through Devon and ending in Dorset, aiming to average 20 miles per day. Pip’s family home was in North Cornwall and the walk will take in numerous locations close to her heart where she spent many happy moments. There is now a bench dedicated to her along the route near Port Gaverne.
Please donate generously, if you can, to encourage me along the way and to help MacMillan continue giving their vital support, as they did for Pip, her family and me.
Thank you.
