Story

In Memory of an Inspirational little Boy

This year, I am undertaking a series of grueling challenges to honor the memory of a very special boy, George, who heartbreakingly lost his battle with cancer in 2023. George’s courage, spirit, and love for adventure inspire us all to push beyond limits and seek extraordinary experiences.

Firstly in march I will be taking on the Cambridge half marathon then In April, the Brighton Marathon, followed by the iconic Three Peaks Challenge in June, which I’ll aim to complete in under 24 hours alongside George’s dad and some amazing other people. The culmination of my efforts will be the Sea to Summit Trilogy, a set of ultramarathons designed by Rat Race. This trilogy involves running from sea level to the summits of the UK’s three highest peaks: Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England, and Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in Wales.

The Sea to Summit Trilogy is far from an ordinary journey; it’s an epic adventure featuring uniquely designed routes that promise challenges, beauty, and unforgettable experiences. The event dates are:

Scafell Pike: 6th September

53km 6200ft elevation

Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon): 27th September

53km 6300+ elevation

Ben Nevis: 11th October

47km, 6000ft+ elevation

All these efforts are dedicated to raising funds for the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) through the "Just George" fund. George’s amazing parents encourage us all to embrace adventure in his memory, and these challenges—though among the toughest I’ve faced—are a testament to that.

Every step I take will be for George, ensuring his legacy lives on and helping CCLG continue its vital work. Let’s make a difference together.
