Dry June · 1 June 2023

The Friends of St James are raising money for the purchase and installation of an adventure playground at St James Primary. We are aiming to have the equipment installed during summer 2023.

Story

As some of you are aware St James primary school have been trying to raise funds for a outside space for the pupils (picture below)

Initially 20k but due to the time it’s taken it’s now 25k as materials are forever going up.

They have raised a fantastic 12k so far and I was trying to think of ideas of what we could do to help before it goes up even more.

so I will be going t-total for June in the hope people will sponsor me with all funds going to the school project.

Now you may be thinking not drinking is an easy ask!

Anyone that knows me will confirm this wont be easy.

I have had a drink nearly everyday since I was 18 being around pubs for 20 years it’s scarily easy to just “grab a beer”

I will still be in a pub most days (not hiding at home) so temptation will be high.

There is always an event or sport of some sort on and socialising ever day makes not drinking pretty difficult.

It’s easy to do dry January that’s for pussies!

days are short, weather is bad, money is tight and your liver is poorly from Xmas.

But June

Weathers heating up, days out and holidays are upon us and to make it even worse my birthday is also in June so will be sober for that also.

I have 3000-4000 followers over this and the London inn page so if I can get each one to even buy me a imaginary beer then we will smash that target so if the London inn has ever helped you out with anything and we have done this a lot then I’m asking you to find any pennies you have.

Raid your car ashtray search the back of the sofa and make some children very happy.
