As you know the weekly school news quiz quiz is free but I do twice a year beg and whine for a donation to a very small charity called Education East Africa which helps with Teacher training and material for schools in Tanzania and Rwanda.

I got involved with this about 6 years ago after a holiday in Zanzibar and the people I met talked a lot about how poor their education system was and their worries about their children's future. I compared that with the attitude of many Kids I taught here in the UK (and some of the parents I dealt with here as well!!!). The facilities at the bog standard Comprehensive I taught at would have been considered amazing in Zanzibar. So I am trying to use the quiz to help a little bit by begging you all to help!
