Story
I have decided to walk the Cornish Coast to raise money for the charity that helped saved my life.
My addiction to alcohol became apparent whilst I was in the armed forces. I had previously used alcohol as a way to feel connected to life due to previous traumatic events and then I used alcohol as a coping mechanism.
I had attempted multiple times to overcome my addictions and despite the challenges I faced through my journey, Bosence Farm Community were able to provide the support, tools and knowledge I needed to work through each day. This has ultimately led to my sobriety, taking each day at a time, but am proud to have reach 135 so far, at the time of writing my story.
My aim is to raise as much money as possible as a Thank you for Bosence and an acknowledgment for all those who have and continue to help me.
My walk along the Cornish Coast, will start on 1st May 2024 and I plan to travel around 10 miles per day to reach my target. I will be fully self sufficient on this quest and shall invite friends and family to partake in sections of the walk to appreciate the wonderful world we are lucky enough to enjoy.
