As a teacher, I know how important a good start in life really is. Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and believe in their future, but for many families in South Africa the cost of school fees becomes a barrier they simply cannot overcome.

That’s why I’m shaving off my beard for Sparrow Schools, a charity based in South Africa that provides education and bursaries for children who would otherwise miss out. Every pound I raise will help fund bursaries for these pupils, giving them the stability, safety, and opportunity that a quality education can bring.

This beard has been with me for years, but it’s time to let it go for something much bigger.
