Hi folks and thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.

I’m running this year’s Lisbon Marathon to raise awareness and funds for two charities that are close to my heart.

In 2023 I tragically lost 2 close friends. Kim and Danny.

Kim died suddenly of sepsis in March at just 39 years of age. In August, Danny died a few short days after being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer. Danny was only 45 years old.

This page is for Ups and Downs in memory of Kim. I also have another Just Giving page raising money for the cancer counselling charity We Hear You in memory of Danny.

Kim leaves behind her husband Jon and two gorgeous kids - Louis and Edith.

Louis has Down syndrome and he has been well supported by Ups and Downs since he was tiny. I want to raise some funds to help this great charity carry on their work in supporting Louis and other kids and young people with Down syndrome across the South West.

Ups & Downs Southwest is a parent led charity seeking to support and enable children and young people, who have Down Syndrome. Their aim is to ensure that these children and young people enjoy a happy, healthy, fulfilling life, in which they are able to reach their full potential.

They provide direct support to families, run information & training days, youth clubs and Family Days alongside a telephone helpline and training for professionals and schools. They currently support over 400 families in the southwest.
