Doctors in Distress works to reduce stigma in the medical profession around mental health. We provide faciliated support groups for all medical professionals to prevent the worsening of issues related to mental health and enable each participant to share their experiences and support their peers.

Story

I’m taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge to support Doctors in Distress

This May, I’ll be climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – all within 24 hours, as part of the National 3 Peaks Challenge.

I’m doing this to raise funds for Doctors in Distress, a vital charity that works to reduce burnout, isolation and suicide among healthcare professionals.

Their mission is close to my heart. After nearly three decades in the NHS, I know how tough it can be to keep going when you’re under pressure – especially in silence.

Doctors in Distress provide safe spaces, community, and support for those struggling behind the scenes – and they remind us all that it’s okay to ask for help.

How you can help

If you can, please consider making a donation. Every contribution helps create a culture where compassion and mental fitness are part of our everyday working lives – not just something we think about after things go wrong.

Help me reach my target and raise vital awareness – donate today and share this page with someone who cares about the people who care for us.

Thank you so much for your support.
