Story

This year marks a significant milestone for Tenet Consultants as we celebrate our 20th year. For this special occasion, we are excited to channel our fundraising efforts towards supporting Maggie's Centres - Manchester.

To help support this charity I’ve set myself the challenge of running 100 miles during April in support of our charity partner.

100 miles over 30 days might sound doable to some, but for me, running 5K a day is no small feat - exercise isn’t exactly part of my daily routine. But this challenge is about more than just pushing myself; it’s about giving back to a charity that has been there for my family when we needed it most.

Why Maggie’s?

Maggie’s: Everyone’s Home for Cancer Care.

Earlier this year, my partner Clara was diagnosed with breast cancer, and life changed overnight. You never expect to hear the word cancer — especially about someone you love. Since then, it’s been an emotional rollercoaster, made even tougher by the reality of chemotherapy and caring for our four young children.

We often felt overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of how to navigate everything, especially for the kids. That’s when someone recommended Maggie’s, and in October 2024, we visited their Manchester centre for the first time.

From that day forward, Maggie’s has been a lifeline. They have supported Clara, me, and the children through every twist and turn of this journey. We have cried, learned, talked, and most importantly felt less alone.

For me, as a bloke, opening up isn’t always easy. But simply sitting at Maggie’s, having a brew and a biscuit, listening to others, and knowing we’re not alone has been a huge comfort.

Now, I want to give back.

If you can spare any amount to sponsor me, it would mean the world.

Every donation helps Maggie’s continue to support families like ours.

I also want to say a huge thank you to my fellow team members who are joining me in this challenge to raise funds for this incredible charity.
