Story
In 2014, my grandad was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. As a family, we made one of the most important decisions we’d ever have to make choosing where he would spend his final days. We turned to Woking and Sam Beare Hospice.
The care, compassionthey gave him and us was beyond anything we could have hoped for. The staff didn't just look after his medical needs but him as a person. He wasn’t just a patient, he was a proud, funny, creative man, and my hero.
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon to raise funds for Woking & Sam Beare Hospice
This run is more than a challenge. It's a tribute. A thank you. And a way to ensure others facing similar journeys receive the same compassionate care my family was so fortunate to experience.
If you're able, please consider donating no matter how small to support the hospice’s incredible work.

Last year, I had the privilege of working with the hospice to create an animation for their campaign appeal “Always in Our Hearts.” It was a powerful experience that allowed me to share just a glimpse of the incredible work they do every single day. If you’d like to see it, I’d love for you to take a moment to watch — not just to view the animation, but to witness the heart, dedication, and compassion that make Woking & Sam Beare Hospice so special: Watch the animation here.
