Story
Breast cancer affects millions of individuals worldwide, with approximately 1 in 8 women diagnosed in their lifetime. It significantly impacts various demographics, particularly women and certain racial groups. This is a statement we often read and may not pay enough attention to... until it starts to affect the ladies in your own family.
This year, two beloved family members, my mum/mom/mother Sheila and my Cousin Deborah have been diagnosed and are undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Their journeys have opened my eyes to the urgent need for research, support, and awareness surrounding this issue. It is crucial that we advocate for those suffering from breast cancer and raise awareness among men and women who may not yet be affected.
That’s why I am participating in a personal trek of 100km across the Sahara Desert on November 21, 2026. My goal is to raise £2,000 for Breast Cancer Now. Every contribution will help fund vital research and support services for those impacted by breast cancer. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against this disease. Please consider donating to this important cause.
