All people, everywhere should live free from slavery. Yet 50 million people – one in every 150 – is a victim of modern-day slavery. Anti-Slavery International exists to bring freedom from slavery, for everyone, everywhere. We can’t make that happen without you.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In the last few years, the number of our fellow beings who are enslaved by others has risen by a shocking 25% to 49.6 Million people. That's 1 in every 150 people.

One quarter of these souls are children and over 2/3 are women and girls.

I am riding some 1,400 kilometres from Walsingham to Lourdes, (in the French Pyrenees) to help Anti-Slavery International's work to end slavery. Every human deserves to live a life free from the worst forms of exploitation.

I am making this ride alone and I am truly awed by the prospect. I pray you will be with me in spirit, and I hope I can make it...

I hope for people's freedom and restoration.

It isn’t easy to stop exploitation and secure freedom for a person enduring modern slavery, but Anti-Slavery International do just that. Throughout their long history they’ve built the expertise, partnerships and knowledge needed to help prevent slavery in its many forms – including child slavery, forced labour and human trafficking.

Please consider donating to this worthy cause and become a modern abolitionist bringing people into freedom. You can truly set the downtrodden free.

You can follow me on the ride with short messages most days here.
