Simon's Fundraiser for SMILE Through Sport

Ford Ride London-Essex 2024 · 26 May 2024 ·
Hello, I'm Simon.
I’m competing in the Ridelondon 2024 for the disability sport development charity SMILE Through Sport. The charity does amazing work in the North East of England and was founded by my cousin Stephen Miller who is a 6-time Paralympian.
I have recently undergone major open heart surgery, so this will be a big challenge for me. I'm training regularly to be able to complete the 100-mile course. Your support will help me to succeed and raise some important funds for a great charity.
SMILE Through Sport was founded in 2013 to provide the opportunity for disabled people of all ages and abilities across the North East to access high-quality sports and physical activity.
To do this they provide events, sessions and activities that disabled people can participate in. The charity supports other organisations and individuals by providing disability awareness and sport training courses.
SMILE Through Sport provides a range of services for organisations, individuals and families. They provide engaging and meaningful physical activity in Care Homes, Community Centres, Schools and Colleges. They also offer training courses and consultancy services.
The charity is highly reliant on fundraising and volunteers to operate. A lot of their sessions and services are free of charge. Your donations will help to ensure more disabled people can get the opportunity to take part in sports and physical activity.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story, I'd be very grateful if you could make a donation and/or share this page.
